Verizon to pay up to $100 per customer in its $100 million settlement

Verizon on their end have denied those allegations where the company told CNET that they “clearly identifies and describes its wireless consumer Admin Charge multiple times during the sales transaction, as well as in its marketing, contracts and billing. This charge helps our company recover certain regulatory compliance and network-related costs.”

That being said, it seems that the carrier has ultimately decided on a $100 million settlement in which up to $100 will be paid out to each affected customer. Customers who are affected by these “administrative charges” should receive either an email or a notification by mail that they are part of the Settlement Class.

If you think that you are part of this class but haven’t received an email, you can double check yourself via this lookup tool on the settlement’s website. Not all customers will receive the full $100. This will vary from customer to customer, but if you’re affected, you should receive some money back.
