The new Samsung Galaxy S24 series comes with One UI 6.1Â and a host of new AI features under the umbrella term “Galaxy AI”. But what about older Samsung smartphones? Will the Galaxy S23 or S22, for example, also get the new AI functions? nextpit has the full list for you!
Just to clarify: Galaxy AI is not a specific program or a specific artificial intelligence. Instead, Samsung hides behind this term a wide range of AI features that run both in the cloud and locally—and which have been developed both by Samsung and by third parties such as Google or, in the future, Microsoft.
Anyone who has just bought a new Samsung foldable or a smartphone from the S23 series in 2023 will be envious at first, of course. But that doesn’t have to be the case. Samsung has already officially promised to bring Galaxy AI to a few older Galaxy smartphones in the first half of the year. Whether the AI features will come together with the update to Android 14 or One UI 6 is still uncertain.

All three models in the new Galaxy S24 series naturally offer the Galaxy AI features. But what about older Samsung phones? And what about the tablets?
