16 Feb Bitfinex to list STRK, Native Token of StarkNet’s Blockchain

ROAD TOWN, British Virgin Islands – February 16, 2024 – Bitfinex (https://www.bitfinex.com/), a premier digital asset trading platform, announced, today that it will be one of the first centralised exchanges to list STRK, the native token of the Starknet blockchain.

The StarkWare company developed Starknet, a permissionless, decentralised Layer 2 Validity Rollup (often referred to as ZK-Rollup) scaling solution designed to enhance the scalability and privacy of blockchains, with a particular focus on Ethereum. Starknet employs STARK technology for secure off-chain transaction validation, thus maintaining Ethereum’s security and avoiding network congestion.

STRK will be listed on Bitfinex against USD (STRK/USD) and USDt (STRK/USDt).

Deposits for STRK (ERC-20) are anticipated to open around 1:30 PM UTC on February 19, subject to network conditions. Trading is planned to commence on February 20, contingent upon network stability and liquidity requirements being met.
