Amazfit – a health and fitness-focused smart wearable brand that’s part of the Zepp Health health tech company – has announced its first smart ring at the ongoing CES 2024. It’s called the Amazfit Helio Ring.
The Amazfit Helio Ring is developed for athletes and focuses on providing them with the recovery support needed to improve their performance. Amazfit says the Helio Ring can “monitor comprehensive data related to the user’s mental and physical condition with accuracy only possible from a wearable worn on the finger.”
The data collected by the Amazfit Helio Ring is made “actionable” with the Zepp app, which turns it into an intuitive Readiness score to help athletes determine whether they should focus on activity or recovery.
The Amazfit Helio Ring can be worn as a standalone device or as a complimentary device together with an Amazfit smartwatch. If it’s the latter, the data from the ring and the smartwatch will be fused for a deeper analysis in the Zepp app.
The Helio Ring will come with a free 3-month trial of the Zepp Aura rest and wellness service to help athletes better with recovery and performance. The smart ring will also come with the usual slew of health and fitness features, including sleep tracking and heart rate monitoring. It will also support a few sports modes and feature an EDA (Electrodermal Activity) sensor for emotional monitoring.
The Amazfit Helio Ring is made of skin-friendly titanium alloy and has 10ATM water resistance. The smart ring will come in two sizes – 10 and 12, weighing 3.8g and 4g, respectively. Amazfit hasn’t revealed the Helio Ring’s battery size but said current testing suggests it can last up to five days on a single charge.
Zepp Clarity Pixie
In addition to the Helio Ring, the Zepp group also announced the Zepp Clarity Pixie “virtually invisible” hearing aids for people with mild to moderate hearing impairment.
The Zepp Clarity Pixie come with medical-grade silicone domes and a titanium alloy casing, with each bud weighing 1.1g. The buds are IPX7-rated and offer ambient noise cancellation.
The Zepp Clarity Pixie are advertised with 17 hours of battery life and can be fully charged in 2.5 hours through the USB-C port. Although the charging case also supports wireless charging.
The Zepp Clarity Pixie is priced at $1,999 and is available on Zepp’s website. The Amazfit Helio Ring will go on sale in March, which is also when its price will be revealed.
