Xiaomi Redmi A3 Unveiled with “Premium Halo Design”

[ad_1]

There have been a couple of reports about a new Redmi device with the back design resembling the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. We’ve also seen hands-on photos of the device’s surface in the last two days. Well, today, the company has officially unrolled the curtains on the design. It’s called the Xiaomi Redmi A3, and it’s an entry-level device.

The smartphone will be released on the Indian market on February 14, which is next Wednesday. So far, we know most of the highlighted features of the Redmi A3, except for the price. Xiaomi hasn’t shared information on the availability in other markets as well.

All That We Know About the Xiaomi Redmi A3

On the front, the Xiaomi Redmi A3 will come with a 6.71-inch screen. Xiaomi says that it offers a “butter smooth” 90 Hz refresh rate, which is a bit too exaggerated here. Yes, 90 Hz is smoother than a standard 60 Hz screen, but we already have 120 Hz and even higher screens on smartphones these days.

But again, you can’t blame Xiaomi for putting a 90 Hz screen on the Redmi A3. After all, the A series is meant to offer low-cost devices, so the 90 Hz on these are totally fine for the price.

6 GB of RAM Redmi A3

Moving on, the Xiaomi Redmi A3 comes with up to 6 GB of RAM. To compare, the Redmi A2+ topped out at 4 GB of RAM, meaning that the new low-cost phone is offering an upgrade in this regard. As for the battery, the phone packs a 5000 mAh battery, which now charges via USB-C. This is another upgrade, as the A2 and A2+ had the dated micro-USB port.

But the most interesting thing about the Redmi A3 is the design. Xiaomi calls it “All-new Premium Halo Design,” and the company isn’t wrong. As the image attached below shows, the massive circular camera island on the back does resemble the premium Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Other info on the phone has yet to be announced. However, the launch is very near, so you don’t need to wait long to learn all about the device.
